Hi, I’m Akiko!
I believe the best piano lessons are taught with joy and love. I love mentoring students to believe in themselves and let their talent blossom.
I performed in Carnegie Hall and performed concertos with orchestras from winning competitions. My students have received many prizes and gone on study in the most prestigious conservatories in the US… but here is a secret. I didn’t grow up a child prodigy practicing for hours. I really didn’t get serious about piano until college although I start piano at five. So, I’m always improving and learning new skills as a musician. I’ve been lucky to study with the best teachers from around the world in music schools and festivals. I love sharing what I learned with my students and making it easy to understand.
Everyone has their own musical journey, so let’s enjoy it! I would be honored to be your guide on your journey. I look forward to hearing your story!
